New faces in PE
The last 2 weeks have seen the Port Elizabeth management team (including interns) building up to what we hope to be a very productive and meaningful year for the site. This included a one week training of twenty new coaches (peer educators) in our Skillz curriculum. The week prior I was part of the team that conducted interviews and I was thoroughly impressed by the coaches we recruited. As active role models in their community we learnt about their past and their hopes as they take up this new position in Grassroot Soccer. Our goal this year is to graduate 10,000 kids n our curriculum, therefore the need for more hands to the pump! I am excited to work with the new and old coaches as we get ready to begin interventions in schools next week!

Support the Cause!
Thank you for checking out my blog. I am currently fund raising for an internship experience with Grassroot Soccer starting in August 2010. My goal is to raise $5,000 for living expenses and flights (currently at $4,392). I would appreciate your contribution to the cause!
